The Pakistani rupee scored a marginal gain against the US dollar in the interbank market, appreciating by 0.09 percent in the opening session on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the forex dealers, the local currency strengthened by 26 paisas against the greenback and was currently being traded at Rs278.40.
On Thursday, the Pakistani rupee had settled the day at Rs278.66 against the US dollar.
During the recent months, the Pakistani currency had largely been around Rs277-279 against the US dollar as traders have an eye on some strong positive indicators.
