The Statistics Division on Tuesday released monthly statistics on inflation.
According to the Statistics Division, inflation remained at 8.3 percent in November, while it was 8.9 percent in October. The rate of inflation from July to November stood at 8.76.
According to the Statistics Division, the prices of chicken increased by 21.36 percent and the prices of tomatoes went up by 15.68. In cities, the prices of potatoes increased by 8.79 percent, onion 5.81 percent and vegetables 5.63 percent.
According to the Statistics Division, the prices of dry fruit increased by 4.38 percent, eggs 2.83 percent, LPG 10.31 percent, flour 4.83 percent and wheat 4.1 percent. The price of lentil decreased by 3.54 percent and 1.94 percent in November. The price of potatoes increased by 56.11 percent in November 2020 compared to November 2019.
In the last one year, the price of eggs increased by 48.67 percent, chicken 46.82 percent, wheat 36.6 percent, sugar 35.78 percent, lentil 26.12 percent, 22.61 percent, 15.76 percent, tomatoes 22.58 percent and onion 6.6 percent. However, fruit prices decreased by 3.59 percent in one year.
