PIA, Flydubai join hands to facilitate passengers over 90 destinations globally

Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and Flydubai Airline have signed an ‘Intra-airline’ agreement to take each other’s passengers at different destinations in the world, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

PIA CEO Arshad Malik confirmed the signing of an inter-airline agreement with Flydubai.

He tweeted, “Good news for Pak Aviation: PIA & Flydubai get into #interline agreement providing extended network reach allowing passengers to travel from Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, connecting to over 90 destinations in Europe, Africa, Central Asia, South Asia and SouthEast Asia via Dubai.”

As per the agreement, PIA passengers can now take Flydubai flights from Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar international airports and they could also fly for over 90 stations across the globe including  Europe, Africa, Central Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

The same facility will be available for the Flydubai passengers and they can use the flights of the PIA.

Pertinent to note that Flydubai is a government-owned budget airline in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) with its head office and flight operations in Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport.

The airline operates a total of 95 destinations, serving the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe from Dubai. The company slogan is Get Going.

Pia is Pakistan's national international airline and its central hub is Karachi's Jinnah International Airport, while Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, and Islamabad International Airport serve as secondary hubs.
