14,000 litres of Iranian fuel vanish in police, customs operation

At least 14,000 litres of Iranian oil and petrol ‘vanished’ during a joint operation of the Customs and Matyari police on National Highway, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The police sources claimed that the Customs and Matyari police had seized 36,000 litres of Iranian oil and petrol from a container going to Daulatpur from Karachi on national highway.

However, according to the receipt obtained by 24NewsHD TV channel, the container was carrying 50,000 litres of Iranian petrol and oil.

It shows that 14,000 liters of Iranian oil worth Rs3 million had allegedly been vanished from the container by police and customs officers.
