Asad Majeed appointed Pakistan s new foreign secretary

Dr Asad Majeed has been appointed as country’s new Foreign Secretary, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Establishment Division issued a notification of the appointment on Friday.

Asad Majeed had been appointed Pakistan’s ambassador to the European Union a few months ago. 

He also returned to Pakistan on the alleged US “cypher” and briefed the National Security Committee about it. 

Asad Majeed will replace Suhail Mehmood who has retired from his service.

Dr Asad Majeed is a seasoned officer of the Foreign Service and holds a PhD degree.
