Differences have emerged within the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf itself and with its allies over the issue of dissolution of provincial assemblies in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Sources revealed that Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has sought time of one to two months from PTI Chairman Imran Khan for the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly.

Likewise, KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, Pervaiz Khattak and Asad Qaiser are also not in favour of KP Assembly dissolution.

Sources said that during his yesterday’s meeting with the PTI chief, Punjab Chief Minister Elahi explained him the reasons behind the delay in the dissolution.

Elahi told Imran that his government had already initiated several projects and besides this, they had to fulfil the legal requirements for creation of new districts.

Sources said that Punjab CM told the PTI chief that it would take one to two months to complete this work.

He also apprised Imran that if their coalition government in Punjab finished, then all of his protocol and security would come to an end with it and the federal government could arrest several PTI leaders including him.

He reasoned with Imran that if the latter waited for another one to two months, then his government would eradicate the PML-N from Punjab with its public welfare projects.

Sources said that Pervaiz Khattak and many other senior PTI leaders are not in favour of KP Assembly dissolution. They are of the view that at this time, establishment is totally neutral and federal government is against PTI. The assemblies’ dissolution will not be proved fruitful, rather it would be harmful. They have opined that there is no guarantee that the PTI would again form government in Punjab and KP after winning the polls.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has promised to ponder over demands made by the leaders of both the provinces, sources concluded.
