The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics Friday reported that inflation increased by 2.70% in November, the 24NewsHD TV channel stated.
The stats bureau report stated that the inflation from July to November was 28.62% and it hiked by 4.34% in the urban areas and 0.40% in rural areas.
The inflation rate in urban areas was 30.44% in November. Gas charges increased by a whopping 280.55% and the prices of vegetables including tomatoes, potatoes and onions hiked by 60.42%, 14.9 and 12.32% respectively.
The electricity tariff decreased by 10.71% in November and by 34.95% annually. The motor fuel dropped by 5.80% in November.
It was stated that the wheat flour increased by 64.67% while rice and sugar increased by 60.79 and 54.7 per cent annually.
The rates of textbooks inflated by 106.8% and transport charges increased by 51.2% annually.
