Cracks have appeared in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) like-minded group ahead of the Senate elections as the group leaders have decided to meet today (Tuesday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that the PTI’s like-minded group split into two following group Chairman Ghazanfar Abbas Cheena’s meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
Now, one of these groups is contemplating fielding its own candidate for the Senate elections while the other is busy making others believe that whatever Chief Minister Usman Buzdar says is true.
In today’s (Tuesday) meeting, Cheena, the like-minded group chairman, will take other members of the group into confidence on his meeting with the chief minister.
Khawaja Daud Sulemani, one of the group members, who is still suspicious of the Punjab chief minister, will convince other members to field a candidate of their own for elections for the upper house of the parliament.
