The federal government has established the National Commission on the Rights of Child two years ago but ‘forget’ to define the rules on salaries distribution among the staffers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Sources in the Human Rights Ministry said that the pending salaries issue surfaced due to delay in legal rules frameworks and the procedure has not been defined for the last two years.

All staffers and all four provincial chairpersons have not received a single salary since the establishment of the commission.

Sources claimed that the human rights ministry will resolve the salaries issue in February as the ministry has pace up the procedure to resolve the pending salaries.

The commission has been established for the period of three years.

The Commission has an overarching mandate in accordance with international obligations and for matters related to the promotion, protection and fulfillment of child rights as enshrined in the NCRC Act 2017.
