Stating it emphatically that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan could not be absolved of the responsibility for rise in the incidents of terrorism in the country and inflation, Federal Minister for Climate Change and senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sherry Rehman on Thursday said that the PTI chief would have to answer 10 questions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a series of tweets, she said Imran gave an impression that he had done no wrong and that others were to blame for all the ills afflicting the country these days.
But Imran, Sherry went on to say, would have to answer why he called Usama bin Laden a ‘martyr’; who initiated dialogue with terrorists; who gave presidential pardon to those convicted of terrorism, and for what purpose; was the parliament taken into confidence before setting these convicts free?; who wanted that terrorists opened their office in Pakistan?; who wanted to settle 30 to 40, 000 terrorists in Pakistan?; was the parliament taken on board before settling these militants in Pakistan, and if the answer was in negative, then should we think that the decision to settle these people on Pakistani soil was Imran’s own, and last but not the least why did the country witness an increase in incidents of terrorism despite the fact that Imran gave concessions to the terrorists.
Sherry concluded by saying that the PTI chief should bear this thing in mind that before he took over as the country’s prime minister, terrorism had been eliminated from the country, and he simply could not get away by saying that he was not responsible.
