An explosion near the election commission office in Karachi has been reported.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the Bomb Disposal Squad, police and rescue personnel reached the spot and started collecting evidence.

Police said no causalities were reported in the blast.

SSP South Sajid Amir said it was a locally-made time bomb which contained four to five kg of explosives.
