Have you ever tried to erase any traumatic or harrowing memory from your digital life? It is a common action nowadays and is enthusiastically on practice by Generation Z. This is the generation which is actually called “Digital Natives” (The generation which has grown up under the ubiquitous influence of internet and specially AI.
The writer herself has watched a serial. A cautionary tale about Artificial Intelligence. The story follows a small-time influencer whose life changes drastically when she enrolls herself in an app that takes control of her life. It effectively showcased the potential threats of such apps while perfectly capturing the love dynamics of Generation Z and the influencer culture. it was such a psychological thriller that depicted themes of Artificial intelligence, social media addiction and AI was described as a potential threat. Its impacts can be observed from characters personal lives that how AI was increasingly influencing their personal lives from decision making to behavior tracking. It has also raised concerns about privacy autonomy and ethical skills. The whole life of protagonist has changed at the end of serial and the reason was just to use an app to erase his fellow workers’ pictures from her social media platform.
Nowadays directly or indirectly we all are under control of Artificial intelligence. Mobile phone or laptop the small gadgets have all about its owner Location, pictures , DOB, phone #, family members ,daily routine and even future plan which an individual shares on different apps installed in the phone or laptop . Its beginning, In Future we will see end of personal life. Society will also see its ethical commitments tested by powerful AI systems, especially privacy. AI systems will likely become much more knowledgeable about each of us than we are about ourselves. Our commitment to protecting privacy has already been severely tested by emerging technologies over the last 50 years. As the cost of peering deeply into our personal data drops and more powerful algorithms capable of assessing massive amounts of data become more widespread, we will probably find that it was a technological barrier more than an ethical commitment that led society to enshrine privacy.
This century has perplexed the whole world and has stuck them to this one point:
“AI will be the best or worst thing ever for humanity.”
In 1950 Alan Turing (widely considered the father of modern computing and Artificial Intelligence) presented that a machine can think like a human being. "Computing Machinery and Intelligence" is a seminal paper written by Alan Turing on the topic of artificial intelligence. The paper, published in 1950 it was the first to introduce his concept of what is now known as the Turing test. Turing test, in artificial intelligence, is a test to determine whether a computer can “think.”
i think humans are the form of natural intelligence, they are the creator of artificial intelligence. Fortunately, till now the artificial intelligence still hasn’t become complete independent and natural intelligence is still superior. Intelligence, as I see it, isn't about accessing vast information or mimicking human responses. True intelligence lies in the capacity for imagination, questioning assumptions and pushing the boundaries of current understanding. Machines, by design, lack these qualities; they are logical, not biological. Artificial intelligence is not a substitute for human intelligence; it is a tool to amplify human creativity and ingenuity. I believe AI is going to change the world more than anything in the history of humanity.
Almost everything in life has two aspects, often categorized as positive and negative or opportunity and risk. This duality exists in AI as well. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a set of technologies that enable computers to perform a variety of advanced functions, including the ability to see, understand and translate spoken and written language, analyze data, make recommendations, and more.
AI decreases human error as “To error is human” Alexandar Pope.
AI accelerates medical research and space exploration. AI driven efficiency created new industries and job opportunities. Individuals and organizations are finding that AI provides a significant boost to their efficiency and productivity. Similarly, AI itself doesn’t have any human emotions or judgement, making it a useful tool in a variety of circumstances.
On the other side AI is considered as a potential threat that would lead to job displacement, misinformation, manipulation and existential risks. As it is perfectly said “AI will transform every industry just as electricity did”.
The future of AI is expected to be characterized by significant technological advancements, increased investment and expanding applications across various industries.
We risk misleading ourselves when we use human-centric terms like "intelligence" to describe computational functions. A machine that processes information rapidly demonstrates intellect, perhaps, but not intelligence in the human sense.
Those distinctions must be made clear, especially as Al becomes more embedded in society. It is important for society to be aware of the potential risks and benefits of AI and to approach the technology with a sense of responsibility. According to my opinion, there is no limit of intelligence and as we build AI systems, we’re building our future. So we should be conscious to make it one we want to live in. Jason Jones has smartly explained his fear about AI in these perfect words “AI is like a toddler. You spend all this time teaching it, and then it uses its new knowledge to draw a picture of you naked on the living room wall.” – The greatest danger of Artificial Intelligence that people conclude too early that they understand it. In conclusion I believe AI is going to change the world more than anything in the history of humanity. The development of AI could spell the end of the human race but if used wisely it could also be our greatest invention but it’s a brutal fact and we all completely of partially do agree that
“We are summoning the demon.”
