Dense fog darkens several cities, shuts down motorways

Thick clouds of fog darkened many cities in the plains of Pakistan shutting down motorways and highways on Sunday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Some highways, however, were open for commuters but the traffic was thin.

Due to very low visibility, Motorway M1 was closed for traffic from Peshawar to Barhan, Motorway M2 was also off for traffic from Lahore to Sheikhupura, Motorway M3 was shut down from Faizpur to Nankana Sahib and Hazara Motorway was also closed for commuters.

Swat Expressway was also shut down for traffic from Colonel Sher Khan to Chakdara.
