Heavy Fog disrupts flight schedule at Lahore Airport

The flight schedule at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) on Monday remained affected due to poor visibility and heavy fog in the adjoining areas of the airport, reported 24NewsHD Tv channel. 

Several domestic and international flights were cancelled and a number of others were delayed due to the closer of the airport for landing and taking-off of planes. Visibility on the runway was just 300 meters. 

According to the airport flight inquiry, a Lahore-bound Kuala Lumpur flight OD131 was not allowed to land. ATC officials instructed the pilot to take around in the air. The plane started taking around in the air. A Lahore to Karachi bound flight Airsial flight PM 148 has been cancelled. A Dubai to Lahore bound Airblue flight PA- 411 was not allowed to land. A Karachi bound PIA flight PK 307 has also been cancelled. A Karachi to Lahore-bound flight PK 306 was cancelled.
