The Lahore High Court Monday directed the Punjab Inspector General Police (IGP) to submit an immediate report on the efforts made towards the recovery of advocate Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Justice Ali Baqir Najafi conducted a hearing on the case filed by Sardar Latif Khosa regarding the recovery of his son Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa.

Former Punjab Governor Sardar Latif including advocate Ishtiaq A. Khan appeared before the court.

Additional Advocate General Ghulam Sarwar Nahang represented the Punjab government during the proceedings.

Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa expressed concern about his son, who was reportedly taken by the police from his office without any formal presentation in court.

Khosa asserted that, as of now, Khurram has not been presented in any court of law.

Additional Advocate General held that the social media buzzed with an ongoing FIR against Khurram Latif Khosa.

He urged the court to grant him time to gather information from authorities before presenting his case.

The court directed the Additional Advocate General to talk with the Punjab IG and clarify whether Khurram was in custody and, if so, under whose jurisdiction.

The court, after initial proceedings, decided to adjourn the case for some hours.
