Minister vows to address long-standing issues plaguing Pak National Hockey Team

Caretaker Federal Minister of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Fawad Hasan Fawad has vowed to address the longstanding issues faced by the Pakistan hockey team on a priority basis, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.  


He was talking about the arrangements for the participation of the Pakistan Hockey Team in the ongoing Olympic Qualifier event in Islamabad.


The minister also held a  meeting  with key stakeholders, including the President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Mir Tariq Bugti, and the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination Secretary, Nadeem Irshad Kayani regarding the uplifting of national sport. 


During the meeting, Minister Fawad emphasized that hockey's revival was a top priority, requiring comprehensive attention to steer the game back on the right track. He particularly highlighted the enhancement of training facilities, improved housing conditions, and better nutritional support for the national hockey players.


In a bid to translate words into action, Fawad directed the Pakistan Sports Board to urgently implement recommendations aimed at uplifting the standard and well-being of the national hockey team.


As the nation eagerly anticipates the participation of the Pakistan Hockey Team in the ongoing Olympic Qualifier event in Islamabad, Fawad's strategic approach promises a brighter future for the sport.
