Federal Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah said on Saturday that just like every party wanted to see its chief becoming leader of the National Assembly, similarly PPP, too, wanted to see its Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the country’s next prime minister, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to reporters at Sukkur, he said that the PPP had implemented its manifesto after coming into power in 2008.
“This time, too, we will announce our manifesto,” the minister said, adding, “As has been the case in the past, the party’s election symbol will be arrow.”
Khurshid said it would be PPP’s endeavor to have seat adjustment with other parties in the elections.
He was of the opinion that there could be no improvement in the country unless politicians forged unity in their ranks. “The country’s economy has become a challenge for the government,” he said, and added, “Politicians will have to take each other into confidence on how to resurrect the economy. It will only be after taking each other on board that the mission to revive the economy will succeed.”
