Philippine Independence Day celebrated with cultural festivities in Lahore

The 126th Independence Day of the Philippines was celebrated with vibrant cultural festivities organized by United OFW and Honorary Consul in Punjab, Philippines Fahadal Shaikh, at Maisonette Hotel, Gulberg, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.


The event saw the special appearance of Philippine Ambassador Maria Agnes M. Cervantes, who joined in the celebrations and expressed her determination to further strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and Pakistan.



The event featured Filipinos singing and dancing to traditional songs from their respective provinces, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines.


Philippine Consul in Punjab, Fahadal Shaikh, highlighted the importance of promoting mutual relations and exports between the two countries.


United OFW Filipino Community Officers also expressed their joy in celebrating their Independence Day.



The ceremony was attended by notable personalities including MPA Mian Irfan Dalutana, Susan Nadeem, Humna Nadeem, Lori V. Pimentel, Mr. Raja Mushtaq, and other Filipinos such as Virginia Culbin, Lucia Ortigoza Dukedes, Maria Atiq, Susana Rosal Nadim, Joseline Tansingco, Laurie Pimentel, Roland L. Mabogunan, Theresa R. Astoria, Rachel Evasco Contojos, and Alain T. Arealo, who participated enthusiastically in the cultural dances.
