The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee has reposed trust in Omar Ayub Khan, acknowledging his steadfast services as the party’s secretary general during challenging times, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
During a meeting on Monday, the committee urged Omar Ayub to withdraw his resignation from the party post.
The meeting praised Omar for his resilience and dedication to the party under adverse conditions. The committee also requested PTI founder Imran Khan not to accept his resignation.
The core also adopted a resolution condemning those who defected from the party at a critical juncture, declaring that those who left during difficult times have no moral standing or authority to comment on party matters.
The resolution emphasized that the party disassociates itself from such individuals and their statements, asserting that they will no longer be acceptable to PTI. Decisions regarding those who express regret for their actions will rest solely with Founder Chairman Imran Khan.
The core affirmed that strict discipline would be enforced within the party at all times, with immediate and severe action against any future violations. Disciplinary measures, including suspension of primary membership, will be imposed on violators.
