Sharjeel demands Sindh governor step down

Pakistan People’s Party leader Sharjeel Memon has demanded Sindh Governor Kamran Tesuri resign immediately, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.


The Sindh governor should resign immediately and the MQM should apologise for the statement against Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Sharjeel Memon said while addressing a press conference.


Flanked by Nasir Hussain, he Sharjeel came down har don the Muttahida for what he called engaging in a politics of hatred and blame-game.


Holding the MQM responsible for many of Sindh's problems, he emphasized that the MQM-P has been confined to Union Councils (UCs).


He rapped Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for making malicious statements about Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.


“It is inappropriate to speak ill of Bhutto, who gave Pakistan the constitution and democracy.”


He lamented that the quota system and criticized the MQM-P over stay order on jobs, asserting that the PPP has always tried to provide employment opportunities.


Nasir Hussain Shah echoed these sentiments, suggesting that despite the MQM's rebranding as MQM-P, their underlying ideology has not changed.


He highlighted past atrocities committed by the MQM and accused them of continuing to follow the directives from London, referring to Altaf Hussain.


Shah alleged that the MQM-P is still involved in a politics of hatred and divisiveness, pointing to their refusal to address critical issues like the quota system during their time in power.


Both leaders asserted that the people of Karachi have become disillusioned with the MQM-P and are ready for change. They urged the public to re-engage in the electoral process to bring about a better future for the city.


Sharjeel said: “The MQM ran away from local body elections. People of Karachi have now understood the politics of MQM.”
