Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Vice-Chairman Abid Saqi on Tuesday said they believed in rule of law and stood by Justice Qazi Faez Isa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The role of Farogh Naseem in the Faez Isa case was of a tout, he remarked and added that the whole nation should consider Farogh as a tout in the given matter.
Talking to media in Islamabad about the presidential reference against the senior Supreme Court judge, Abid said Justice Faez in his application gave the definition of tout, which was fully applicable to Farogh.
He said Farogh took up the case after resigning from the ministry and they would up the issue at the PBC disciplinary committee.
“In our country, there is a culture where one enters through one door and arrives through another.
From the very beginning, the legal fraternity has strongly reacted to the reference. In this connection, the PBC – the apex regularity body of lawyers – has been arranging conventions and protests against the reference all over the country.
The most important feature of this is that the lawyers belonging to both Asma Jahangir group and Hamid Khan group are united against the presidential reference.
