All the students of classes one to 8th have been promoted in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the government of AJK had also issued notification of the promotion of students on Wednesday.

The notification said the AJK government had decided by the reason of closure of schools during the third wave of coronavirus.

The coronavirus epidemic situation was severe in AJK and the government imposed a complete lockdown from time to time across the territory.

During the imposition of lockdown, all educational institutes and private academies also remained closed. The students of primary and middle classes couldn’t complete their studies on a regular basis so the government had decided to promote them without taking any exams.
