British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner on Monday reiterated his country’s resolve to further enhance cooperation with Pakistan in economic, cultural and education sectors.
“Pakistan is going on in the right direction towards economic development.”
British HC Christian Turner was talking with Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar.
Dr Tuner said that his country was keen to extend cooperation to sectors like information technology, communication and skills development.
On the occasion, Asad Umar informed that Pakistan expects UK’s assistance and investment in clean energy, health and tourism development. A wide range of reforms has been introduced in all sectors, which have started yielding fruit. The reforms under IMF have also resulted in stabilising Pakistani economy and the rate of inflation will further decrease in the near future.
Asad Umar pointed out that second phase of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will provide better investment opportunities for British investor.
