A man named Ramzan was honey-trapped, kidnapped, and tortured by dacoits in a village on the outskirts of Okara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Ramzan was being held captive for 18 days now and his abductors have now demanded a massive ransom of Rs10 million and an iPhone for his release.
The incident came to light after a video of Ramzan's torture went viral on social media, in which he was seen being tied up with chains and forced to beg his family for ransom money. It is believed that Ramzan was targeted by Kacha dacoits who are known for their ruthless tactics in rural areas.
The victim, who hails from 38 GD village on the outskirts of Okara, was lured into a honey trap by a girl who helped the dacoits kidnap him. After being held captive for 18 days, Ramzan's family reported his abduction to the police and an FIR was registered at Gogera Police Station on his brother's complaint.
The incident has sparked outrage among the local community, with many calling for swift action to bring the kidnappers to justice. Police have launched an investigation into the case and are working to trace the location of the kidnappers.]
