Section 144 has been enforced in Islamabad due to security reasons banning gatherings in and around all the courts in the federal capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to the official sources, the administration has banned gathering of people outside the courts, warning that action will be taken against any type of protest outside the courts.

According to a tweet uploaded by the Islamabad police, only the lawyers, journalists and people concerned will be allowed to enter the courts during the hearing of cases.

The supporters will not be allowed to come to the courts during the appearance of political leaders.

In another tweet, the police said the security high alert orders have been issued in view of terrorism and other threats.

It is to be noted here that a large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers had reached the judicial complex during the appearance of PTI chairman Imran Khan.

The PTI workers forcibly entered the court premises and vandalized the public property. They also protested against the government and shouted slogans.

The police had registered two cases against the PTI workers.
