A non-governmental organisation (NGO) revealed that more drug addicts were dying after the imposition of lockdown in Lahore as 65 deaths had been recorded during the past 40 days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The NGO, which focuses on anti-narcotics efforts, said 24 to 28 addicts were dying every month before the introduction of lockdown to fight the coronavirus.

Syed Zulfiqar Hussain, the NGO’s head, said the Orange Line track and the Canal Road had become the hubs of drug addicts.

The addicts are mostly found at around 120 spots in the provincial capital, said Syed Zulfiqar Hussain.
