Over 0.10 million (100,000) meters of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) went missing during the period 2017 to 2019 which may cause losses to the tune of millions of rupees, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

The missing meters were removed for purpose of changing these but no one knows where they are now and there has been no probe on the issue.

According to the documents available with 24NewsHD, over 170,000 single and three phase meters were removed during the said period. But the NTM Lab could only receive 65,085 meters and thus there is no record of the remaining pieces.

Out of over 170,000 meters, 73,901 were removed in the Hyderabad region but the NTM Lab received 33,778 only.
