Lahore police registered 210 first information reports (FIRs) against the citizens for violating Covid standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the lockdown, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
DIG Operations Sajid Kiyani said that 76 FIRs were lodged against those who did not wear facemasks, a mandatory Covid SOP as per the guidelines issued by the NCOC.

Lahore police registered 134 FIRs over non-compliance with social distancing.
Since 27 March, as many as 3,236 cases have been registered including 1,910 cases for not wearing facemasks while 1,326 cases were registered for the violation of other corona SOPs.

“In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, police security measures are in place to ensure the safety of the people. The working hours issued by the government for business are also being strictly enforced,” DIG Operations Sajid Kayani said.
