US Ambassador Donald Blome met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, Donald Blome congratulated Maryam Nawaz on being elected as the first woman chief minister of Punjab.
The US ambassador appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for speedy implementation of people-friendly projects.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's special interest in public welfare projects is commendable, said Donald Blome.
The US envoy said that America wants to work more with the Punjab government for poverty alleviation and economic development.
Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that the economic relations between America and Pakistan span over decades.
The CM said that they will provide a safe environment for American investment in Punjab and will welcome American partners in the fields of agriculture, industry and IT as investment potential exists in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz said that only a stable government can bring Pakistan out of economic crisis and government’s economic policies are reducing inflation.
A comprehensive strategy has been formulated to provide quality education, health facilities and cheap bread to the people, said Maryam Nawaz.
She said that provision of basic rights and basic needs to the people will be ensured in all cases.
