An event in honour of mountaineer Sirbaz Khan was held at Serena Hotel Islamabad in which a great tribute was paid to him.

Sirbaz has become the first Pakistani to scale the 8,167-meter-high Dholagiri Mountain in Nepal, climbing nine of the 14 highest peaks in the world, each over 8,000 meters.

In the ceremony, interesting videos of Sirbaz Khan's journey were also shown in which the memorable mountaineering moments and his flashes of daringly climbing the peaks were shown.

Addressing the gathering, Sirbaz Khan said that he has achieved the realization of his dream since 2017 and now thankfully this obsession is still alive.

Unfortunately, these adventure sports are not sponsored by the government, he added.

Sirbaz Khan said that if the government cooperates in setting up training institutes for mountaineering, adventure sports can be of great help.

Sirbaz Khan Mountaineer added that, if a person has courage and enthusiasm, he can do everything, adding, each mountain peak faces a different challenge, I have learned a lot from these 9 peaks.
