The Supreme Court on Wednesday accepted the appeal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Zulfiqar Bhatti against re-polling in NA-91, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The apex court also declared PML-N candidate Zulfiqar Bhatti successful from NA-91 and ordered to restore the notification of his success.
Zulfiqar Bhatti had won the general election from NA-91. His opponent Amir Sultan Cheema of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had submitted a request for re-polling on the accusation of fake votes.
After the re-polling, Amir Sultan Cheema was declared successful, but the decision of re-polling was challenged by Zulfiqar Bhatti in the Supreme Court.
A three-member SC bench, headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, accepted the appeal of Zulfiqar Bhatti against the re-polling and declared him successful.
