Search op to maintain law and order in Rawalpindi goes on

The Rawalpindi police have launched a search and combing operation in the district to maintain law and order, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

The operation has been conducted in the areas of Saddar, Chakri,  Rawat, Chauhantra etc. The police of Civil Line and Race Course are also involved in the search operation.

The lawmen are checking identity cards and biometric verification of all persons while the details of tenants have also been scanned.

The purpose of the search operation is to control the criminal elements, police said, adding that such ops help arrest robbers, thieves and crooks.

Last night, 429 houses were scanned while 162 tenants’ data was verified in the operation. The police also conducted the search and verification in hotels and hostels of the districts.
