Dr Samar rubbishes Nawaz claim over Tomahawk missile

October 2, 2020 02:00 AM

Leading scientist Dr Samar Mubarakmand has contradicted ex-premier Nawaz Sharif’s claim over reverse engineering of US missile Tomahawk.

“This is foolish,” he said, adding it was true that Pakistan got missiles from the area, but these were a few pieces.

“Which kind of research, can be don’t on such tiny particles.

The United States had not asked Pakistan to return the wreckage.

He continued: “We had no such request from the United States. Secondly, it was just a pile of rubbish which was useless. If the United States had asked for rubble, Pakistan would have returned it.”

In a statement, Nawaz said one of the American missiles landed in Balochistan in Bill Clinton’s rule and we have made our missiles by copying the US missiles.
