The Punjab government gave another seven-day leave to Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal after he refused to take the charge again, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab government, Abdullah Khan Sumbal got the additional charge of chief secretary.

It is to be noted here that the Punjab government had earlier sent Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal on leave after it developed differences with him on some matters.

The chief secretary now appears adamant about his transfer which the Punjab government wants to avoid.
