The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Gilgit-Baltistan chapter, has issued notification of the suspension of basic party membership of GB Assembly member Engineer Anwar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to the notification, Engineer Anwar has also been removed from the office of PML-N Diamer's chief organizer.
On the recommendations of the PML-N disciplinary committee, party senior leader Hafeezur Rehman on September 29 suspended the membership of Engineer Anwar on the alleged violation of the party code by him.
The party served a show-cause notice on him, asking him to submit a reply within a week.
Besides Anwar, the membership of another party leader Jafferullah was also suspended.
As the PML-N is making arrangements to accord a warm welcome to party supremo Nawaz Sharif on his return to the homeland later this month, the party is constituting coordination committees across Punjab, Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
