The Federal Information Ministry and Pakistan Television (PTV) administration have exchanged barbs regarding a case in Islamabad High Court (IHC) about appointments in the state-run television, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The PTV Managing Director wrote a letter to the Federal Information Secretary expressing his reservations about the ministry, complaining that the ministry instead of defending the PTV provided wrong information to the court.
In response, the ministry rejected the PTV chief’s allegations, declaring PTV MD as unprofessional.
The Information Ministry in its reply to the PTV MD maintained that the levelling of baseless and ridiculous allegations showed PTV chief’s unprofessionalism. “Writing a letter to the Information Ministry was an attempt to hide your own mistakes and negligences,” the ministry said.
The Islamabad High Court has reserved its verdict on petitions regarding appointments in PTV including of its chairman.
