The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has a weekly report on inflation registering another increase in inflation by 1.31 per cent, 24News HD TV Channel reported Friday.
The overall rate reached 45.50 percent and the highest rate of inflation in the country has reached 46.10 percent, according to the bureau.
It maintained that the prices of 31 essential commodities increased in a week.
The latest three items were cheaper and 17 were stable, according to the bureau.
The cost of pulses and gram increased by 2.89% and flour by 1.49% and in recent weeks, the price of petrol, diesel, sugar, mutton, molasses, and garlic surged.
