Talking to journalists following the meeting, Kamran Tessori said that Nawaz Sharif was worried about Pakistan’s economic and political situation.
According to Tessori, Nawaz Sharif also expressed concern over the inflated power bills and the country’s economic situation.
In response to a question, Tessori said that a decision regarding the former premier’s return to Pakistan will be taken by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Tessori stated that Nawaz Sharif mentioned that during his tenure in 2017, the electricity bill was around Rs1500 to Rs2000.
He also held Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan ‘responsible’ for the country’s current situation, saying that no economic policy was formed during Imran Khan’s tenure.
Tessori added that Nawaz Sharif stressed the accountability of individuals responsible for the nation's current condition of affairs because the previous prime minister and leader of the PTI failed to implement any economic programs while in office for three and a half years.
The governor further remarked that the PTI chairman had broken the hearts of the Pakistani people by making false promises, and he was solely responsible for the current situation of the country.
