In a harrowing incident, a fire erupted on a metro bus near the Rahmanabad metro station in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Fortunately, prompt action by rescue and fire brigade personnel averted a major catastrophe.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire broke out in the engine of the metro bus, sending plumes of thick smoke into the air. Panic ensued among passengers as flames licked the bus's interior. Quick-thinking passengers on board, identified as a courageous young girl and a man, jumped from the bus to escape the inferno and got injured.
