A wanted criminal, Gul Khan, who murdered two citizens in DG Khan's Gadahi area, has been arrested in Saudi Arabia and deported back to Pakistan.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the Punjab Police spokesperson reported that after committing the crime, the fugitive had fled abroad and was on the wanted list for the past two years.
Punjab Police, with the assistance of Interpol, issued a red notice, leading to the coordination with Saudi authorities for his capture.
The fugitive was handed over to the DG Khan Police upon his arrival at the airport. The arrest marks the 66th capture of wanted criminals from abroad this year.
Punjab Police Inspector General, Dr Usman Anwar, commended the police team for their efforts and directed an intensified crackdown to apprehend other dangerous fugitives in the A-category.
He also instructed that dangerous criminals be arrested with the cooperation of FIA and Interpol to ensure they receive appropriate punishments.
