50 million Chloroquine tablets in stock, says President Alvi

Says formal announcement on use of anti-malarial drug soon

President Dr Arif Alvi has said that anti-malarial drug Chloroquine is being given to some patients suffering from coronavirus in Pakistan and the Health Ministry will make an announcement in this regard soon.

Speaking on the TV programme Nasim Zehra @8 on 24NewsHD TV on Thursday evening, President Alvi said Pakistan had 50 million Chloroquine tablets in stock; therefore, there was no question of a shortage of drug in the country.
