The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday unveiled its schedule for conducting flights to Britain.
According to the schedule, the Airlines will carry out flights to the British cities of London, Manchester and Birmingham.
The PIA will operate a total of eight flights to the British cities from April 3 (today) to April 5. As per the plan, some of the flights will return empty from Britain.
The flights to Britain came days after the federal government announced the gradual restoration of the country’s international flights operation.
The PIA on Thursday operated two special flights to Canada taking 600 Canadian nationals to Toronto from Karachi and Lahore. The two special flights were granted permission on the request of the Canadian government.
On the other hand, United Kingdom High Commissioner Christian Turner on Saturday last said the latest update on flights will cause further concerns for the British citizens anxious to get home.
In a tweet, Turner said they were in talks with Pakistan about what could be done and working hard to assist the vulnerable.
In this connection, the UK High Commission on Tuesday said that ensuring the return of Brits to the country was their top priority.
