The federal cabinet has decided to withdraw the services of the Supreme Court Registrar Ishrat Ali and directed him to report to the Establishment Division.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel Monday, the cabinet decided during a special meeting held with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the chair.
The cabinet deliberated upon two-point agenda. Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar and Attorney General briefed the Cabinet.
The cabinet considered the issue of the circular issued by the Registrar Supreme Court against the top court order.
It demanded President Dr Arif Alvi sign the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act 2023.
