The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) raided a private courier office at Chandni Chowk in Rawalpindi and seized a parcel carrying 1 kg and 200 grams of heroin that was booked for British city of Birmingham, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The drug was concealed in a trash bag.
In another action, the ANF officials recovered five hashish-filled capsules from the stomach of an Abu Dhabi-bound passenger at Islamabad International Airport. He was a Bannu resident.
Similarly, the ANF conducted a joint operation with Airport Security Force (ASF) at Lahore International Airport and handcuffed a Sharjah-bound three-member gang, residents of Okara, on suspicion.
During the investigation, 104 heroin-filled capsules were recovered from their stomach.
Likewise, 2 kg and 71 grams of heroin, which was concealed tactfully in a tiffin (hot pot), were recovered from a passenger at Karachi International Airport.
The accused hailed from Chiniot and was going to Saudi Arabia.
In yet another action, the ANF seized 3 kg and 600 grams of Hashish from an Afghan national near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza.
Separately, another joint operation of ANF and Frontier Corps (FC) in Noshki resulted in the seizure of 416 kg of hashish.
Besides that, ANF team recovered 22 kg of hashish hidden in bushes during an operation in Dalbandin.
According to ANF spokespersons, cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against the arrested accused and investigation has been started.
