The federal government on Wednesday announced two-day holidays on 9th and 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also issued a notification for holidays on 9th and 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram.

According to the prime minister’s notification, there will be public holidays on 8th and 9th of August 2022.

It is to be noted here that the 9th and 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram, the first month of Islamic calendar, are commemorated as the days of martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in the Battle of Karbala.
