Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar filed a reference against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and other members, consisting of 430 pages, in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry through Advocate Azhar Siddique on Friday.

According to the 24NewsHD TV Channel, the opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly included evidence of electoral irregularities in his reference against CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja and his team.

The reference claims that Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and other members of the Election Commission of Pakistan have demonstrated bias, particularly during the 2024 elections.

The reference asserted that the CEC and other members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have failed to fulfil their constitutional duties to conduct free and transparent elections in the country.

In the reference, the opposition leader appealed to the Supreme Court that the Chief Election Commissioner and other members of the ECP should be restrained from performing their roles.
