The Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday approved a one-day physical remand for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raoof Hassan, handing him over to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the court of Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case and ordered that Raoof Hassan be presented in his court on August 3 (Saturday).
According to the court order, the judge reviewed the case record against Raoof Hassan and observed that, due to his poor health, the investigation could not proceed effectively.
The court order said that during the investigation, the involvement of the co-accused in the case was revealed, prompting the police to conduct raids to arrest them.
The court order stated that the investigating officer requires access to Raoof Hassan's bank accounts to review transaction records, thus necessitating his one-day physical remand.
The order also mandates that Raoof Hassan undergo daily medical examinations at PIMS Hospital to monitor his health condition.
Two days ago, the anti-terrorism court had remanded PTI information secretary to the counter-terrorism department for two days in an explosive recovery case and now it is extended for one day.
