The Punjab Wildlife Department, with the help of Rangers personnel, managed to take into custody an Indian deer that strayed into Pakistani territory through the Wagah border and shifted it to the Safari Park in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to reports, the deer is of the Sambar breed.
This is not for the first time that animals have entered Pakistani territory as earlier, too, on several occasions wild animals have entered Pakistan from India only to be taken into custody by the Wildlife Department.
