Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the Pakistan Hockey Team for the Men’s Asian Champions Trophy, reported 24NewsHD TV on Friday.
The hockey team would be led by Muhammad Umar Bhatta, while Ali Shan has been appointed as the team’s vice captain for the tournament.
The 20 members’ squad announced by PHF comprised of the goalkeepers Waqar, Abdullah Ishtiaq.
The full backs included Ammad Shakeel Butt, Tanzeem Al Hassan, Muhammad Abdullah, Aqeel Ahmed Mubashir Ali would be take up the responsibility.
Meanwhile, Abu Bakar Mahmood, Moeen Shakeel, Hamad ud Anjum, Ghazanfar Ali, Azfar Yaqoob are half backs, included in the team.
The forwarders in the team included the team’s captain Muhammad Umar Bhatta along with Ali Shan, Ijaz Ahmed, Rana Waheed, Junaid Manzoor, Afraz, Ahmed Nadeem, Salman Razzaq.
Meanwhile, former Olympian Head coach Khawaja Nadeem will be the head coach of the team.
While, the other coaches for team included Syed Sameer Hussain, Ajmal Khan Lodhi.
Moreover, the management also hired the services of video analyst Nadeem Khan Lodhi and Dr Syed Asad Abbas.
