Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that number of provinces should be increased in accordance with the increasing population, reported 241NewsHD TV channel.  

Addressing a worker convention at Hyderabad on Friday, he said that the seats of MQM have been reduced from 25 to seven only, but without our participation, the federal government cannot be formed.

He said that the demand for further division of the provinces is not any treachery. Those people are traitors who oppose the division of the provinces, he added.  

He said that a number of conspiracies had been hatched against our workers in a country that was achieved by our forefathers after rendering their sacrifices, he added.   

Khalid further alleged that the census is being done wrong since the 1970s. “We went to the Supreme Court against the rigging of the census and it is a great success of the MQM that the new census is going to be held,” he hinted. He further said that now there is a chance that the refugees will be counted. “If we are counted correctly, it will not be us but some other province,” he added.
